GOTH with a TWIST

I will call my style today " Goth with a twist. I made some deviation from the typical goth fashion, that usually shows a dark, erotic sometimes morbid style. A fashion  that includes wearing dark clothes and dark make up-- dark lips, dark liner and black finger nails. To make my plans work in this theme I need a photographer, good thing my sister is around to capture my style. I conceptualized the whole photo shoot--the location, how my hair will look like, my make up, dress and accessories. I wanted to have a photo shoot in our town cemetery but my father did not allow us. Wondering why? For two reasons- (1) He found out that we went to cemetery two weeks ago to have a photo shoot without him knowing (hehe). (2) Recently, a criminal was caught hiding in our town cemetery. He might think that there is another criminal hiding in the cemetery that might kidnap or kill us. I know it's exaggerated :) My father is just concern for our safety.

So we had our photo shoot on a vacant lot near our house. The vines and the grass made a dash of color to the usual dark color of Goth fashion. For my hair and make up-I teased my hair to make it fuller and a little crazy. I did not wear dark make up. Instead of wearing dark lipstick, I wear a pale pink shade on my lips. A little alteration but still preserve the Gothic feel.

For my outfit I put on :
(1) a black thrifted dress with a ruffle design on the side
(2)on one of the picture  I wear a Skeleton Designed jacket
(3)a black knee high socks

For the accessories: (another twist)
(1)black and white voodoo dolls as necklace; other colored voodoo dolls as props (FYI handmade by me and my sister from scrap cloth)
(2) an umbrella
(3) a black veil
(4) Red & purple balloon plus red tulip flower- to add a dash of color to the look and fun to the Gothic theme
Oh I almost forgot the best accessory in this look is our white cat "Muning". He usually hates photo shoots.

After seeing the outcome of our photo shoot, for me the Goth vibe that was made is MYSTERIOUS plus FUN!

WANDERING IN CITY LIGHTS

Part of my profession is to be stress working for 12hours a day wearing my boring scrub suit. But being a fashionista is not part of my TOXIC profession, IT’S MY LIFE! This look is inspired by the busy city of MANILA---experience traffics jams for hours, people in a hurry to be on time for their work and appointments.
Life is tough in Manila, people are serious when it comes to improve their family’s quality of life. Filipinos work really hard for their families. But despite of the adversities Filipinos are experiencing, they still have the ability to smile and of course TO BE IN STYLE. MANILA is the place where fashion is truly diverse.Whether you go for the trendy or classic. Whether you splurge for high end fashion or scour for vintage thrift store finds. Here in Manila fashion is an ADVENTURE.

ZOOM AWAY

My friends and I wanted a break form our monotonous life for a long time. One day we decided to go out of town and try something different. We want an adrenaline rush.

After window shopping a our favorite shops like Forever 21, H&M and Zara. We had our stop over at FRIDAY's to fill up our tummies (yummy).  I am with Marie my genius/fashionista/OC friend on the left .

I am with my two other fashionista friends Siena and Anjel.

We're on our way to find the adrenaline rush that will make our hearts palpitate.

Harness on!!! We are ready with all smiles. (Well i think not)

With the very kind attendants of the park.

A ten-story high zip line on our background.

We're all tired and hungry ( again....hehe) after the ride. Here we are smiling at the camera while waiting for our favorite Filipino cuisine to be served.
